Name and Objective of the Initiative:
Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was formally launched on 09 September 2022, on this day, Hon. President Smt. Draupadi Murmu digitally inaugurated the campaign and also launched the Nikshay Mitra initiative.

The main purpose of nutrition is –
1. Reducing the risk of malnutrition.
2. Increasing endurance during the treatment period,
3. To speed up the recovery of patients.
4. Reducing the rate of treatment abandonment.
5. Helping to create a healthy society.

Who is the beneficiary?

All registered TB patients (of all ages, from government/private sector) Including MDR/XDR tuberculosis patients.

Who can become an Nikshay Mitra?

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), charitable individuals or social organizations, etc. are being appealed to distribute nutritional food kits to actual TB patients and their families during the treatment period. Nutritional food kits are distributed on birthdays and special days.

Currently, a total of 1792 TB patients are under treatment in the district and till date, a total

of 651 nutritional food kits have been distributed to 435 patients. Still, 1357 patients are

waiting for nutritional food Basket.
